Herefordshire Young Farmers' Drama Fest
Six Clubs from the Herefordshire Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs (HFYFC) will be competing in the HFYFC Drama Festival this year.
Each Club will put on their performance at the Bishop of Hereford's Blue Bluecoat School in Hereford in February. Each performance will last no longer than an hour and the performaces will be closely judged by Colin Thompson who from Hereford based Mad Dogs Production Company. He will be marking each team on their acting, production, stage production and dramatic achievement. The winners will be announced at the end of the night.
The two highest placed Clubs will go on to represent Herefordshire at the West Midland Area Finals on Sunday, 11th March at the Oakengates Theatre in Telford, Shropshire.
As well the two drama productions each night, members from several HFYFC Clubs will be taking part in “One Plus” – a fun six minutes on stage where anything goes!
Festival Dates
On Tuesday 13th February the main performaces will be by Eardisley YFC Drama and Kington YFC Drama groups. There will also be One Plus performances by Woolhope YFC, Ledbury YFC A, Orleton YFC, Ledbury YFC B, Ross YFC.
On Thursday 15th February the main performaces will be by Welsh Newton YFC Drama and Ledbury YFC Drama groups. There will also be One Plus performances by Hereford/Welsh Newton YFCs, Allensmore YFC A, Allensmore YFC B, Allensmore YFC C, Eardisley YFC B
On Friday 16th February the main performances will be by Hereford YFC Drama and Golden Valley YFC Drama groups. There will also be One Plus performaces by Hereford YFC, Dilwyn YFC, Eardisley YFC A, Lugg Valley & Eardisley YFC, Pontrilas & Eardisley YFC
Saturday 17th February is Finals Night.
Admission is £5.00 adults, £4.00 OAPs and children under 12, £12 family ticket (2 adults & 2 children).
