About
The Creative and Media Diploma in Herefordshire has been developed by a consortia of High Schools, Hereford College of Arts and The Rural Media Company aided by Herefordshire Council.
The qualification is aimed to ensure that the right skills and experience are gained by all young people who want to become a part of the UK's most progressive and innovative industries. Diplomas are about gaining real life industry experience and offer students the opportunity to work on real industry projects; using industry standard equipment; meeting and work with industry specialists and attaining work experience within a chosen field.
The idea behind using a consortia approach is so that delivery can take place in one 'host' school assisted by professionals with current experience of the creative and media business.
Whitecross School High School and Specialist Sports College is the 'host' school for the Media Arts and Aylestone Business and Enterprise College is the 'host' school for Performing Arts.
